Perseverance is defined as one continuing in life despite any suffering, and it is one of the determining factors between success and failure.
Many times people are told they should quit when the going gets tough and try another route. In some situations this is true. For example, if someone's trying to build a rocket ship with no background in engineering or physics, it could prove counterproductive to work hard (persevere) building the ship if they've already tried everything they know to make it work.
But put simply, perseverance is a very important part of life and successes of many kinds - if someone puts forth effort and "stick-to-it-tive-ness". Something people push long enough that they become an expert on whatever they are doing - then they often can come up with new ideas based on their expertise and experience.
Perseverance is the quality of endurance and determination in the face of obstacles, discouragement, or temptation.
It is a virtue that exerts the will to continue going forward despite the challenges that are encountered. The word can also be used to describe someone who endures something or someone's company or behavior for an extended period of time.
To persist in or remain constant to a purpose, idea, or task in the face of obstacles or discouragement.
Perseverance is not quitting. It is about sticking with something even when it gets hard, when it seems hopeless, even when others expect you to quit. When we persevere we are continuing down a path despite the obstacles that stand in our way - we stay on course as we confront and overcome challenges along the way.
You will encounter obstacles in your life. You might feel like giving up and abandoning your goals, but that’s not the right thing to do. The right thing to do is... keep pushing forward and "persevering" because there are many benefits associated with it - like character and hope!
The word "Perservere" comes from the Latin root meaning to "hold fast or stand firm” - So perseverance can be defined as holding fast or standing firm against something difficult or challenging that you may be experiencing at any given moment in time.
PERSEVERANCE
A good example of perseverance would be if you have been working on a new project for months and all of a sudden someone comes along and tells you that it won't work because they tried it themselves but failed miserably at making any progress whatsoever towards achieving their goals, especially after using this particular strategy/methodology etc.
It's easy for people who have never experienced success to give up early if something doesn't go right with "their plan". You've gotta understand that sometimes your "plan" must be changed or modified. Remember the phrase "there's more than one way to skin a cat"? Well, there can also be more than one road on a journey to a goal or destination.

There's no such thing as giving up, because you are a winner, and you must push through.
But here is an important question to think about: What do you believe about yourself, and why?
I will explore this topic in another post, but for now, know that you MUST KNOW what you believe about yourself and about life ITself.
YOU CAN PERSEVERE!!!
Keep going even when times are hard - Like when you’re trying to overcome a difficulty but have no idea how to, or if you’re struggling with Anything in life. Keep Going!
Ask questions. Seek answers. Knock on doors for opportunities! Walk believing, and do not give up, then you will accomplish goals in life, whether they be eating healthier or getting a degree - And that's-just-for-starters.
PERSEVERANCE
...is the ability to stay persistent when obstacles arise.
The benefits of perseverance go far beyond a single moment of triumph. When you persist, you build up your character and resilience. You get better at dealing with setbacks and failures. This will help set you up for success in the long term by developing your persistence as a character trait - something that will serve you well - both in the present and in the future!
The concept of giving up is foreign to those who have never given up on anything in their lives. These people have a proven track record of determinant behavior, success, and the consideration of what is wise in a course of action. They have earned their stripes so-to-speak - they don't give up or quit until they are victorious.
Giving up means stopping before your goal has been achieved; it's essentially quitting without finishing what you started! So if you don't want to be known as someone who quits when times get tough (and life will always bring obstacles), then consider the 3 steps listed just below this section.
A champion never gives up; he knows that there's always another opportunity around the corner and that if today doesn't work out for him, tomorrow will be his day. This is faith; a daily walking in the substance of things hoped for.
1. Persist.
You know the saying, “Perseverance pays off?” It's a cliché, but it's also true. If you have no desire to persevere through your challenges, then you can't expect to accomplish your goals and dreams.
2. Stay focused. Don't get distracted.
You must stay focused and determine that getting distracted is not an option. And you must prayerfully believe.
3. Don't let adversity knock you off course.
A major key to achieving goals is being persistent when faced with adversity; don't let anything get between your God given ambition and its realization.
There are many people who have experienced failure in life and they are still successful today because they believed in themselves and worked hard despite what others said.
It doesn’t matter where you come from or how much money you earn - if you want something badly enough then nothing can stop you from getting it!
You may be experiencing a lot of problems right now but it’s not the end of the world. The key to success is perseverance, so never give up on yourself or your dream no matter what happens!
This question of whether to quit or not is a highly personal one, and it’s never easy.
Regardless of your situation, you should ask yourself the same questions I ask myself: What have you learned? Are you on the right track?
I hope that my experience regarding the subject of perseverance can be helpful to others going through this process and provide some insight into what it takes to succeed.
